New LHD Cars to Watch out for in 2016

2016 looks like it’s going to be offering some exciting new car leases for the LHD buyer.

LHD Evoque ConvertiblePossibly one of the hottest tips for 2016 will be a left hand drive Jaguar F-Pace. First revealed in September Jaguar’s first SUV will come with both 2.0 Diesel and 3.0 Diesel and Petrol engines in 2 and 4 four wheel drive. Stylish looks and support from a Land Rover pedigree will make this an interesting prospect all round. With pricing looking to start from around £26000 tax free it could be really good news. We are also set to see the arrival of the Total Auto favourite the Evoque in convertible format. This will be a really interesting concept and whilst it’s bound to look good the jury is out on where this fits in. We will also in late 2016 the new Discovery 5 open up it’s order books. Initial concept artwork shows something similar in design to the Discovery Sport and many suggest that the Discovery 4 styling which is only a facelift of Disco 3 is well over due.

Hyundai’s popular little car i20 is gaining a new addition to the family with a i20 Active which aims to rival the likes of Sandeor Stepaway which won’t provide 4×4 but does provide the raised ground clearance. Likely to be a popular choice for the small car buyer. Similarly you could look to bag a Fiat Panda 4×4 rival in a left hand drive Citroen C1 Urban Ride which aims for the mini SUV market and doesn’t really miss. You are guaranteed striking looks and an outwardly solid design. Meanwhile for those of you who love and own an LHD Skoda Yeti, the car makers has decided to bring out a 7 seat version of the SUV. We find in “expat wagon” land this combo really works and it’s high time we have a non-premium price seven seater hit the market.

There are a number of facelifts for popular SUV’s too. Left hand drive Mitsubishi Shogun is a popular request and hopefully late 2016 will see some options that bring down the CO2 barriers facedLHD Kia Sportage by many looking to import one. The ever popular Sportage is due a facelift likely to been seen in the Spring. Initial motor show photos show a flat nose to the Korean makers design. Some exciting looking alloy designs as well.

LHD Nissan is a big seller here at Total Auto and there are plenty of tasters due with Pulsar Nismo, future versions of the Nissan Juke and the concept for the new Micra due in the summer of 2016 takes Micra to places where it has never been before. We can also expect new things from Volkswagen with Golf R400, a new Tiguan, a striking new Sport Coupe GTE to rival CLS but at a far reduced price.

These are just a few of the highlights we can see coming but with new cars and concepts arriving all the time there is always something a foot for the left hand drive car buyer to get interested in.
