1989 Mercedes Benz W126 420 SE Saloon (LHD)

This monster of a car is both in looks and big on block and is currently queued to go through a mechanical restoration with Total Auto Imports. The big V8 engine is a powerful piece of German engineering and once running correctly and has been tuned properly it will compliment its already clean and tidy exterior. Having spent it’s life in Spain this car is generally rust free and dry making it a rare commodity as many of these were kept in wetter Northern Europe. These generally are a rare find these days, with few surviving in the UK and few still surviving on the continent too. Prices are increasing all the time for these vehicles and could represent a great collectors investment in time to come. This is a great project not requiring much other than cosmetic work and getting the engine fully functional.

The car does fire up but needs a serious tune up to keep it going properly as it hasn’t run for a long time. It went in for a pre-mot and was only having issues over fueling (we had flooded it) and a couple of bushes and some inner wheel arch welding. Gearbox additionally works well as we drove that 2 miles to the MOT station for a pre-test.

The bonnet has suffered with lacquer peel from the sun and the interior has some rips and tears.

The car is registered on a UK V5.
