Description
This 1990 Ford Sierra XR4x4 2.9 petrol manual is a popular choice amongst Ford enthusiasts for the 80’s and 90’s. This particular car finished in red with light grey/blue interior has the potential as a project to get back on the road relatively quickly. It runs and drives but does need manifold gaskets. It has had some basic servicing done along with new water pump. The ignition does need sorting out because it doesn’t switch off when the car is running and is causing a drain on the battery we believe.
Cosmetically it does have a few marks around it but more importantly the bottoms of the doors need repairing and reworking. There is fabrication required on the sills and where the floor pans meet the sills and jacking points need to rebuilding.
Clearly brakes and suspension haven’t fully been put through the test and will require some level of attention in places. However this car provides the bones of a good restoration project.
